Additionally, Naver has shifted from uniform horizontal thumbnails to a flexible format that supports horizontal, square, or vertical displays based on the original content’s aspect ratio. These updates, set to roll out officially in mid-October 2025, aim to streamline navigation and provide richer, more relevant search results, reducing the time users spend sifting through information.

To celebrate these enhancements and encourage users to explore the improved search experience, Naver has launched a promotional event running from October 16 to October 29, 2025. By searching entertainment, sports, or gaming-related keywords on Naver during this period, users can interact with event banners to earn random Naver Pay points instantly. The event is designed to make searching more rewarding, blending seamless functionality with exciting incentives.
Participation is straightforward: search for relevant keywords, click the event banner, and receive points. However, the event operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with a daily limit of one participation per user and a finite pool of points. Points are credited to the user’s Naver ID upon agreeing to Naver Pay’s terms, and participation records are trackable via an event page calendar. Note that the event may end early if points are depleted, and misuse may lead to penalties.
